At first they came for the smokers but I did not speak out as I did not smoke. Then they came for the binge drinkers but I said nothing as I did not binge. Now they have an obesity strategy.
Cameron said a Conservative government would "redistribute power from the political elite to the man and woman in the street", with the "most radical decentralisation of power this country has seen for generations".
The "getting rid of political elites" is going to be a key, and perhaps the cheekiest, tory election theme and one on which they should be challenged every day. Shutting Eaton and banning the Bullingdon club would seem items 1 & 2 on any reasonable action plan designed to achieve this stated aim.
