Trade Unions in Iraq
Harry Barnes has posted his response to the Iraq Commission on Trade Union in Iraq. It is well worth reading here. He writes that trade unionism is 'part of a countervailing force against Iraq’s divisive elements. It sees its own interests as best being served in a democratic society which activates a wide area of civil liberties'. He also links to a new blog from a Baghdad dentist. It is powerful reading.
