It's never dull in Hull

Though it certainly is very soggy. Small Town Scribbles has a good post about scant media coverage of the flood damage, pointing out that if the same had happened in London, "There would be live-streaming from the area day and night. Sharon Osbourne would be making appeals for donations. Authors would be writing books in aid of. Music groups releasing singles. As it is, the poor sods of Hull have to make do with a visit from Prince Charles".

Sorry Scribbles, we didn't even get him - Charles went to Toll Bar in South Yorkshire.

My apologies for frightening any Hull residents with the thought of Prince Charles being nearby. You've all got quite enough to deal with without me adding to it with scare stories of visits by lumpen royalty.

You are getting Bp. John Sentamu ... It will probably rain until next year. (Sorry, your Grace)
