Check out your No. 30 – doesn’t even celebrate but goes straight to the opponents to offer commiserations – class.

That's Josh Barlow - the hardest, roughest forward on the field. If ever there is a fight, there he is. High tackles - yep, it will be Josh. He had a tremendous battle with the York pack who were picking him out to run at. He was fantastic. Immense and as you said, class.

Pete, doubtless you'll be posting about yesterday. But just a point - you were criticising the Lions for not kicking on the last tackle. According to a comment in this mornings Rugby League Express (yup, anorak!) John Duffy had instructed them not to as he didn't want their wingers being given a chance to run. I guess its his call to make and he can point to the final scoreboard. And no one likes being on the end of a full length of the field try, do they? Mike T.

I thought it must be a tactic (actually, let's tell the truth, Lyn insisted they must be under orders and she was right). An interesting one too - it seemed odd to run every last tackle. On the few times we chipped through we managed to force a mistake as well. But the bounce on the artificial pitch is high and erratic, so it was probably a very shrewd call. We have to remember that I specialise in being wrong.
